Mad Catz Lynx Wireless
By: Deathzone
If your like me, you hate cords, and in a perfect world everything would be cordless. Unfortunately, the world isnt perfect, but Mad Catz has brought it one step closer to the dream. Introducing the Mad Catz Wireless Lynx controller for Xbox.

Ergonomics -
The controller is comfortable and is almost identical to the corded Mad Catz controllers, with nice rubberized grips and a smaller profile than the standard Xbox controller, and just a tad larger than the Controller S. It also has a light beside the left analog stick that serves as a low battery indicator, which is definately a great feature.
Performance -
This thing performs just like a corded controller, and I didnt notice any delays whats-o-ever. It has a range of up to 40 feet, which is a helluva lot more than the average person will be sitting away so rest assured you wont be out of range on any occasion.
Design and Features -
Mad Catz went the whole way with this one. An excellent feature is the channel selector, so if you have more than one wireless controller, you can set each one to different channels so the signals wont interfere. Up to 4 channels can be selected, and its as simple as applying a sliding button to the same channel for the controller and reciever. Unfortunately, it is the reciever that houses the two expansion slots, meaning if you want to play a Live game with the Communicator, you will have to have your Xbox close so the headset cord can still reach the reciever. This is big downside for gamers who wanted to use a cordless controller for Live, but maybe it was too difficult for the controller to power memory cards and the Communicator and cut into battery life, so Mad Catz probably did this for a reason.
Conclusion -
This is an awesome controller. If you either sit too close to your Xbox and have to deal with tangled cords or want to sit farther back, then this is obviously a perfect choice. As for the expansion slots posing a problem for Live games, well unless you play nothing but online, then you could always just use this for single player and switch to another controller when its time for Live.
For $59.99 US, it isn't exactly a cheap accessory, but its definately worth every penny if your sick of untangling cords and skipping a heartbeat every time someone walks by the Xbox and almost drags the whole system down.
Pros:
Wireless!
Comfortable and sleek design
Rubberized grips
Cons:
Expansion slots are on reciever, meaning you must sit close if you want to play Xbox Live with the Communicator
Overall - 8.5/10
