NETWORK SETUP

The two most common setups for linking your xbox to the internet is either with two ethernet cards -or- a hub. I found the hub to be the easiest way because you technically don't have to take apart your computer to plug it in, not only that but it has more than one use.

Here's is how you hook up your computer with a HUB.

Make sure you use RJ45 cords and not crossover cables to connect each thing into the hub because what a HUB does is entwine the RJ45 wires into crossover cables. Also make sure your HUB is plugged in.
If it still isn't working, check try putting your internet connection into 4 instead of 1x, or vice-versa depending on HUB. If that doesn't fix it, check if there is a switch on the hub that says: "MDI To hub" and "MDI-X To PC". You want it set to- "MDI To hub".

The second way of connecting your xbox to the internet is with two ethernet cards. First you check if you have an extra slot in the back of your computer. Then take it apart and plug in your new ethernet card. Search the internet for the newest drivers for your ethernet card and then simply plug in your xbox with a crossover cable and you're done.
