WIDE GAMES READY FOR NEXT ADVENTURE
Posted by Ben on Thursday, September 12 2002

BRIGHTON, AUGUST 2002: Wide Games, the developer of Codemasters' PS2, Xbox and PC smash, Prisoner of War, today announce the continuing expansion of this ambitious developer.

Building on the success of POW - the only unlicensed, non-sequel game in the top ten this summer, Wide Games are beginning the next phase of their expansion plans - building new teams to work on the innovative developers latest original products.

Following on from last month's announcement of high profile board appointments, Wide Games have begun bolstering their technical team with the appointment of, Richard Heasman (TOCA,), Dan Laufer (Harry Potter, Croc) and Matt Craig (FIFA World Cup 2002).

Ed Daly, Managing Director "Codemasters and ourselves are delighted with the chart success of Prisoner Of War. Since its release we have signed two new projects and are now looking for world-class publishers and talented, passionate development staff to help us create global franchises from original concepts."

Wide Games are looking for experienced artists and designers to join their Brighton team. Contact Becky Jeffries on 01273 818600.
