Electronic Arts Reveals Details on Medal of Honor Frontline For the Xbox
Posted by Ben on Tuesday, September 10 2002

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. – Keep your head down as you storm the beaches of Normandy to defeat the dreaded Nazi scourge. EA reveals details of Medal of Honor FrontlineTM, the highly acclaimed first person shooter where players travel from the shores of France to the heart of Germany to put an end to Nazi tyranny. The game is currently under development for the Nintendo GameCubeTM and XboxTM video game system from Microsoft and will ship this fall.

In this latest installment of the award-winning Medal of Honor™ series, Lt. Patterson returns and must use the confusion of the real-world offensive Operation Market Garden to infiltrate the German frontline and steal the HO-IX flying wing, an experimental Nazi weapon so powerful that it could turn the tide of World War II. The player will choose from a cache of weapons in their quest to steal the HO-IX flying wing. Players can select a single-player experience or battle friends head-to-head in the split-screen multi-player mode for up to 4 players.

Staying true to the legacy that started with the original Medal of Honor, the producers sought council from numerous outside sources to make certain the game is as historically authentic and realistic as possible. Hollywood veteran Capt. Dale Dye, who served as military consultant on the original Medal of Honor, Medal of Honor Underground™, and Medal of Honor Allied AssaultTM, again worked with the Medal of Honor Frontline team to ensure the authenticity of the game.
