Microsoft Will Offer Online Games in Internet Cafe's
Posted by talleyrand on Saturday, August 31 2002

Microsoft announced it would license 250 Internet cafes in Japan to offer “Dungeon Siege” and “Age of Empires” to get Japanese feet wet in the online gaming pool. Most Internet Cafes in Japan charge around $4/hour for broadband access, with no extra charge for gaming. Microsoft will slowly integrate Xbox titles into the mix, hoping to get its Xbox Live into all 1,600 Japanese Internet cafes.
