MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 20, 2002--

ABC eCirc http://abcas1.accessabc.com/ecirc/

Game Informer's 1st Half 2002 Publisher's Statement achieved an average paid circulation of 669,965 during the January-June 2002 period, according to the Fas-Fax Report from Audit Bureau of Circulation (ABC). The report confirms that Game Informer now maintains the largest total paid circulation of any multi-platform games publication in history.

With circulation growth of over 185% during the reporting period, Game Informer saw total paid circulation grow from 472,045 in January to 876,068 paid readers in June as reported on ABC's Fas-Fax eCirc http://www.accessabc.com (released on 8/19/02). For the last 4 months of the reporting period (March-June), Game Informer achieved an average 755,155 paid readers, which already exceeds the publication's 2nd half 2002 current rate base guarantee of 750,000.

"Game Informer's incredible growth coincides with the video game industry and its own expectations for growth," said Cathy Preston, Publisher. "We see Game Informer as further contributing to the market's expansion by offering our advertising partners the ability to reach and influence more gamers more efficiently than ever before."
