VidTrac Game Rentals 08/11/02

Here are the top ten renting video games across America for the week ending August 11, according to the Video Software Dealers Association.
Although it will undoubtedly pain software developers to read this, some games are just better served by a $3 rental instead of a $50 purchase down at the store. Have a look at Stuntman, for example. Despite its annoying gamplay, the newest game from the Driver folks has been number-one in the rental rankings for the past two weeks
The rest of the top ten is, as always, well-stocked with PlayStation 2 titles. There are no Nintendo titles to be found anywhere, and the only Xbox game isn't even an exclusive one—it's just EA's NCAA Football 2003. The only new title this week is The Mark of Kri, which beat out Men in Black II: Alien Escape to debut at number nine. Anything that can beat MIB2 is all right in our book. Yes.
