If you think Battlefield 1942 is just another war game, then you need to get your facts straight: Battlefield 1942 looks to combine all war vehicles including helicopters, tanks, battleships, and so on that were used during World War II. The key amazing feature in 1942 is that it incorporates all of these vehicles and all of the classes in the United States armed forces, such as the Marines, Army, Navy, and Air Force all into one game. Battlefield 1942 is based around the worst war known to man, World War II. But with this horrible war came some of the most technologically advanced war machines in the world. As you know World War II was mainly based around the continents of Asia, Africa, and Europe, so logically that is where the game will take place. You will as in real life be working your way up the chain of commands starting from a beginner to some day an expert. The player will have an option of picking from different careers such as: Marine, Engineer, Medic, Pilot, and others.
