Moto GP

Motorcycle racing has been an ever so popular sport that has been gaining in popularity over the years. The only problem is the games aren't following the same path. Most of these motorcycle racing games always seem to lack in depth, or there gameplay is just not up to par. Whatever the case may be there hasn't been a standout moto racing game yet. Can Moto GP for the XBOX start a new trend?
Gameplay: Moto Gp has five key gameplay modes. These include: Quick Race, Arcade Championship, Grandprix Series, and Training. In Moto GP you can play in both arcade and simulation modes, depending on which mode you prefer. I feel that the simulation mode is the way to go. I feel that all though there is a slight learning curve, once you start to get the feel of the bike you will be rolling through the tracks no problem. The arcade on the other hand really is a little too easy. I felt that it really didn't give as much competitiveness as the simulation mode did.
The majority of the game will be played in the Grandprix Series, where you shall create your own rider, along with picking his initial stats. You will find out very quickly that this game revolves around the stats. You have to choose carefully where you want to put your experience points. The Grandprix series is one of the most difficult career modes I have ever played, but if you’re good at racing games, you should be able to get into this one.
The multiplayer mode is where I felt I was having the most fun. It gets even more competitive when you’re playing with a friend.
Graphics: Moto GP looks stunning. The excellent lighting effects, lighting, and textures, are the best I have seen on any motorcycle game to date. The areas also look very good. You can see the differences in the weather, and the time of day.
The riders themselves go right along with everything else. To say the least they are jaw dropping. I really think that Climax did an excellent job making Moto GP look visually attractive.
Controls: The controls are very well set on the controller, and are not that hard to get the hang of. You use the left analog stick to steer, and to accelerate, and b to look over your shoulder. The trigger buttons control the front and rear braking.
Replay: Moto GP is an extremely difficult game to start out and then gets even more difficult when you make it to the last few races. Moto GP will really keep you going for a long time if your patient. The multiplayer mode is an excellent mode to come back to every once and a while.
Sound: This has to be where Moto GP lacks the most. The motorcycle sounds are pretty disappointing. The motorcycle sound is a very weak sound that sounds muted, it doesn't seem like it is really there. The soundtrack is also not too impressive either, but luckily you can listen to your own music, which is a huge plus.
